Non-Diver to Assistant Instructor
Duration 6 month minimum/Full summer with H2O Divers
H2O offers the Non-Diver to PADI Assistant Instructor training program for students who have no scuba diving certifications or training and wish to join the PADI Scuba Diving Professionals.Ever dreamed of the perfect job? Why not go for it in one big swoop and start your PADI Career with H2O Divers? Go from a non-diver to a Professional PADI Diver on the beautiful island of Malta! Learn all about the diving industry with H2O’s experienced dive team. Due to requirements set forth by PADI the minimum time frame for this Internship is 6 months but by the end of the course you will have in excess of 100 dives. Starting with your Open Water Course you will learn and master many skills, giving you the opportunity to “go dive the world”. Followed by the Advanced Diver Course, Rescue and EFR Courses, Divemaster and finishing with the Assistant Instructor Course.Along with these courses you will experience a full summer of gaining knowledge about diving while having a whole lot of fun.
Open Water Diver to Assistant Instructor
Duration 3 Months
Taking a small step forward, enhancing the knowledge and skills you have already mastered from your previous dive course. Join the PADI Advanced Open Water Course today! Unlike the PADI Open Water Diver Course, this course will focus more on broadening, expanding your diving experience in different areas of diving, like deep diving, wreck diving and search and recovery dives. In this course we will complete 5 Adventure Dives, two of which are core dives, Deep Dive and Navigation Dive, whilst the other three dives you can select from our large list of PADI Adventure Dives. Now with PADI E-Learning you can do all of your book work from the comfort of your pc. Following your Advanced Course you will complete the Rescue, EFR, Divemaster and Assistant Instructor Course as well as gain valuable experience working in the dive industry.
Advanced Diver to Assistant Instructor
Duration 1/2 Months
If you are ready to enroll in the PADI Rescue Diver Course it is time for you to start taking care of not just you in the water, but of your fellow divers. Through this course you will practice and master, through a number of skills and scenarios, the vital steps of rescuing a diver in distress. This course can be completed in as little as 3 days. Along with the Rescue Course you will need to complete the Emergency First Response certificate. We will demonstrate how to handle emergency situations, giving you both theory and hand-on experience in CPR, primary and secondary care. Following completion of these you will begin your Divemaster Course and complete your time at H2O as an Assistant Instructor.
Rescue Diver to PADI Assistant Instructor

Welcome to your first step on the PADI Professional ladder! Be part of the ‘PADI Family’ and see how dive centers and instructors run their day. Gaining further diving theory and mastering both new and existing skills will help you to demonstrate these to new motivated divers. Passing on your enthusiasm for your sport is the key to your satisfaction. During this Internship you will complete your Divemaster and Assistant Instructor Course gaining valuable knowledge preparing you for a career as a PADI Professional.
Divemaster to PADI Assistant Instructor

Why not go a little bit further and learn how to teach PADI programs, by doing your Assistant Instructor course. All it takes is a minimum of 3 days, and a whole lot of fun. You will learn how to teach PADI’s tried and tested learning philosophy. You will present two presentations in the classroom, two in confined water and two in open water. You will also polish your skills on a skill circuit. This course will prepare you to go for the OWSI Program with a course director, and then on to your dream job of being a diving professional anywhere in the world.
